I typically don't travel any further than 1 hour from the centre of Doncaster , no matter what direction .
As a general rule , all animals should be caught and penned up ready for my arrival . For sheep shearing in particular i ask that all sheep are fully dry and preferably haven't been fed that day or the night before .
It totally depends on the weather of that year, I try to ensure that they are done before June o if there are any heatwaves pending we are limiting the chance of flystrike .
